The pub guide has references to NW, NE, SW or South East of the centre of this map. The City Centre section is around about a one mile diameter, whereas the Suburbs section is around two miles in diameter from from the centre of town. There are plenty more for those who wish to roam further afield. The Victoria Park to the west is an excellent public house just over a mile from the centre of town. The Canal Boat to the north, again just outside the two mile diameter ring. Some of the pubs to the south are on the edge of the boundary in Cardiff Bay like The Packet a traditional pub with some brilliant drawings of how Cardiff Docks were. To the east is The Royal Oak, a public house steeped in the long boxing history of Cardiff. I could go on and mention The Fairwater, The Fox and Hounds, ( both of them ),The Plymouth Arms at St. Fagans etc. but that is for another time........................
