Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, Wales, U.K.

Llandovery, County of Carmarthenshire in the western part of Mid Wales sits on the Afon Tywi. The river rises not far to the north and travels down through Llyn Brianne past Llandovery, Llandeilo and Carmarthen before opening out into the estuary that has Laugharne on one bank and the sands of Cefn Sidan on the other. Llandovery is home to a station on the Heart of Wales Railway and has a famous college. Many years ago it was a drovers town, the starting point for cattle to be driven to London.
