Overlooked by the Sugar Loaf Mountain and situated alongside the Rivers Gavenny and Usk, Abergavenny is a bustling town on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is a popular centre for walkers and hill climbers and lately hang gliding enthusiasts. Many other outdoor activities can be found in the area such as canoeing and fishing on the canal and cycling on the Welsh National Cycle Route. Remains of a Norman castle, a museum, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and a Victorian Town/Market Hall are amongst the attractions.
